Daniel, in the midst of a terrible depression, has hired Hugo to paint his apartment in the South Bronx. Hugo arrives to do his job, but Daniel puts all possible obstacles in his way. In this encounter, the two men will confront their lives, love, faith, art, country, and the different positions of a person who has had to work hard for a living, and one who has had everything and simply appears as a stranger in a neighborhood that is not his.

Through this discussion the two characters end up both destroying themselves and showing who they really are. Hugo discovers Daniel’s terrible secret and decides to take the reins of the matter in the most crude and brutal way. Exploring our deepest motivations, “Bone White” reveals what makes us human.
